Sustainable Development Goals
These are the number of Sustainable Development Goals that we at Project Veerangana include
Project Veerangana and the SDGs
-
No Poverty:
As a part of our project, we aim to create financial independence for women in rural areas, and as they gain economic stability this also contributes to reducing poverty.
-
Good Health and Well-Being:
We strive to eliminate the issue of violence against women, ensuring good health and well-being, and we also focus on improving the mental health of anyone that may be a victim of such issues and needs help.
-
Quality Education:
One of our solutions to this issue is implementing a curriculum to educate about gender inequality issues such as domestic violence and also provide opportunities to learn things like self defence. Implementing this curriculum contributes to increasing quality education.
-
Gender Equality:
Our project mainly focuses on the goal of gender equality as we aim to empower women starting in our own country to reduce the gap between genders and improve the status of women.
-
Decent Work and Economic Growth:
By implementing our curriculum to increase quality education and also creating financial independence, we provide new economic opportunities, which on a large scale can have a positive impact on economic growth.
-
Reduced Inequalities:
By empowering women and also focusing on rural areas, we contribute to reducing inequalities including gender inequality as well as financial inequality.
-
Sustainable Cities and Communities:
By increasing education and improving social conditions and inequalities, we contribute to sustainable cities and communities in terms of society and even economy.
-
Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions:
As a part of our curriculum, we also plan on educating women about the rights they have as well as increasing awareness on justice systems related to these issues. By doing this, we increase the chances of appropriate justice and clear the path for peace and strong institutions.
